Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for residential and commercial buildings, delivering high-quality designs that meet safety, energy, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and size HVAC and mechanical systems for residential and commercial buildings.
· Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
· Perform load calculations and ensure compliance with California Mechanical Code and Title 24.
· Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop integrated project solutions.
· Conduct site visits to oversee construction, ensure compliance with design specifications, and resolve field issues.
· Provide technical support during permitting and construction administration.
· Research and incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient solutions into designs.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
· Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in mechanical design for residential or commercial building projects.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required.
· Licenses/Certifications: EIT required; PE license strongly preferred.
· Knowledge of California Mechanical Code and Title 24 energy standards.
· Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
